CyberSecurity Breaks into New Market – Retail
Breaking into a new market can be very challenging for both start-up to established companies. Read below to find out how we helped my start-up break into a new market.
A leading and reputable Cybersecurity company founded in 2008, spent 5 years trying to gain entry into the retail market but had no success. CWMG helped them break into the market within one week of running a targeted online advertising campaign.
Below will outline all the steps our marketing team took to make sure the campaign was a success!
Step 1: Research
Our team conducted a thorough market research and the breakthrough strategy was a result of analysing an indirect competitor.
Step 2: Solution
Based on our findings, we were able to create a unique selling point which would attract the retail market and give our client a competitive advantage.
Step 3: Copy
We created two versions of the copy, one negative and the other positive. The client choose the positive copy because it needed to be aligned to their TOV (tone of voice).
Step 4: Assets
Once the copy was approved by the client, the next step was to create an advert banner. Our design team had to decide what visual asset would align with their brand. Based on their brand guideline, we created a banner that included a copy header (5 words) and their logo. We also had to make sure the advert banner had the proper dimensions otherwise it would not fit properly. We also built their landing page, which included a sales copy, a downloadable white paper report and a CTA (call-to-action) button.
Step 5: Criteria
We sent the client a list of questions that would help prequalify their target market. This would rage from job titles, location(s), age and other additional geotargeting criteria, which would define a customer profile.
Step 6: Set-up
Once we had the advert copy, visual assets and customer profile approved, we set up the campaign with two split a/b testing and directed all the adverts to their landing page.
Step 7: Analyse
Every day, 4 times a day we would analyse the advert report, as this would allow us to identify which split a/b testing advert was performing the best. By the third day at 3pm, we determined Test B no longer needed to be active. We paused it and added the remaining budget to Test A.
Step 8: Leads
Every day our clients were getting leads from various industry, by fourth and fifth day our client received interest from 3 major retailers worth more than £5 million! They were notified immediately and the VP of Sales contacted the leads to schedule a demo.
Conclusion
Using the latest growth hacking lead generation techniques, our client had the opportunity to schedule a meeting with 3 major retailers worth more than £5 million. Talk about being a game changer!
